That sounds like a nice idea to me. Though finally, I think, it is a 
more complicated to extend Axiom. For simple extensions such a )compile 
is OK, but one might have several files and then one always needs to 
remember in which order these files should be compiled. Then it calles 
for Makefiles or a better Axiom-Extension support.

Anyway, our source files are pamphlets and we should keep it that way 
and promote the "literate idea".
