Hey guys,
After a few massive VHDL projects for the past
few months I'm back. I am thrilled to see what a nice package WinAVR has
become, as well as wonderful improvements to the avr-gcc code.
Well, I tried to compile new tools with my old
guide, but things with MinGW, binutils, and gcc had changed significantly (for
the better).
There are far fewer patches required, no more
dealing with CVS check outs, and no more building Bison/Flex/TexInfo.
There are MingW binaries now available for Bison/Flex/TexInfo, it seems the
avr-obj patch code has been incorporated into binutils, both binutils and gcc
are more win32 friendly, or mingw does a better job of handling ^M.
Quite a bit changed, let me know if I have errors
or missing information in there.
Great work guys.
Tony
