briefly describes how to obtain and build the tools (referring to the
Git and Dependency page for additional information).

has been streamlined in turn (by moving special interest topics to
their own pages). I still find it a little bit convoluted, but am not
really sure how to make it any simpler. Anyone is welcome to try,
however!
