Congrats on getting much closer an alpha release of 0.4! :D

Just a quick note about a typo I happened to notice. Perhaps the on of the urls should be:  http://adonthell.berlios.de/doc/index.php/Tasks:Road_Map

Peace,

Proposed announcement text:

We're happy to announce the release of a minimal, alpha version of Adonthell - Dun Barethsol. Source code for all platforms and a binary for MacOS X can be retrieved from http://adonthell.linuxgames.com/download/

This is not a full release of the the long-awaited v0.4. We're still working at that, though we are closer now than we have ever been. This release is targeted specifically at artists and developers who might be interested in joining our efforts. As such, it is a demonstration of some of the basic map and movement behaviors to be included in the final version. It is also intended to highlight some of the work that is still needs to be done, including improve collision detection. We have a roadmap laying out our path forward. It can be found at http://adonthell.berlios.de/doc/index.php./Tasks:Roadmap

If you could lend a hand, have a look at

Please visit http://adonthell.linuxgames.com/news/ for the official release announcement. More information can also be found on our wiki at http://adonthell.berlios.de/doc/index.php

Thanks for your interest in Adonthell.

I'll work on it and post it back here. CVS isn't playing nicely just now.

You could do that, although I don't think they were in any special
form. See http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/adonthell-announce/ or
https://savannah.nongnu.org/news/?group=adonthell for examples.

As for the content, it's a bit special this time. It should at least
mention that it is not so much intented for end users, rather for
interested developers and artists and that we have a roadmap that
builds on this release.

If you can write up something that would be nice.

Kai
