Just a small note - most users use zip under Windows, and would be easier
to provide binaries with .zip and not tar/gz (even though WinZip supports
this, the builtin zip support in Win XP doesn't).

Excellent job on the portability-issues - looking VERY forward to Waste's
Edge Windows :)
