I (mistakingly) thought of this case:
$ PO4A-GETTEXTIZE=/FOO/po4a-gettextize make -C server/gnun
Which leads to error. But the command should be invoked like this:
$ make PO4A-GETTEXTIZE=/FOO/po4a-gettextize -C server/gnun
So there is no need for shell-compatible variable names. My proposal is
is non-sense, please ignore it.
