Hi Joris,

Hi Michele,

In latest release (11), I've just noticed that the help files do not
reflect the changes I've made recently.

Seems to me rather brute, to put it mildly.

That is very strange; are you sure that you committed your
files by CVS in the appropriate way?
I'll guess I did it the proper way, since after checking out to have the last versions of all files and translated them eventually , I always first check the web to see if there were new committed files between the time I last checked out and the time I'm ready to check in, then I checkout the whole tree after committing to check if the changes were effectively made. And I also check directly with webcvs and I always can see the files I've committed after a few seconds. I generally work by branch or directories, since it's the only convenient way for me to ensure that first I don't miss any file, second I commit the whole branch or directory once in a while (after adding the new files if needed). And at last I navigate the branch before and after committing to ensure that I did not miss any links and track the misspelling I eventually did not see before committing (ispell does not check grammar). I do not know how I can do more :-)

It is also a good idea to notify me about important changes,
and tell me one specific file where a change occurred.
All files to tell the truth, except the tutorial branch, since there is still a problem with netpbm stream relating to the images. As soon as you told me you planned to update to release 11 on Tuesday night, I've made my best to comply with the dead line (which I reached), but it was not worth it apparently :-)

Some files in about branch (the newest ones) and in develop branch are not either translated either fully translated, that's why I did not tell you it's finished.

What is weird is that does not occur for the Spanish files, which were committed two days ago, but with the French files which were committed five days ago or two days ago, but 8 hours or so before your changes.

I do not systematically update the documentation in
the package from the CVS documentation,
although I did do so for the last realease.
Maybe it should be better to do it systematically to ensure any changes are taken into account. Or better tell us one hour or so (or any convenient delay for you) before you update the package, and then we can tell us yes there are changes or not there are no, I mean till we can rely on an automatic notice, which is still pending (the guy on cvs hacker seems not to know how to do it, at least the last time I checked it, may have changed though).
