Okay that wasn't it either I think I know what the problem I am having 
is. -v expects value after it and is taking the first image name as that 
value.

Okay I fixed it so it is no longer skipping the first png. There was a
little if statement that printed out an error that wasn't in jpeg2swf.c
as well so I commented it out and it seems to work better but I am not
sure exactly why it works.
