It may be significant that Apple avoided 3.2 and have gone from 3.1 to
3.3.
Which would be good time to mention that Apple gcc3-1210 the 3.3 compiler
for MacOS X does compile. My previous post was wrong. I had forgotten
about a modifed expr.c which was not being updated by cvs. Once I had the
right version it copiles perfectly.
One small problem is the need to rewrite the gcc_select script which swaps
system compilers on MacOS X. Using the Apple builds, the excutables for
gcc 2.95 are 'gcc' etc, for 3.1 they are 'gcc3' etc and for 3.3 they have
changed to 'gcc33' etc.
I will try to get it to compile some Swarm code in the next few days.
