New GUI and the Raster

I am awaiting the release of the Java GUI prior to updating the
interface on a project I am working on.  Two questions.  
1.  Will the Raster and ZoomRaster still use Xlib code independent of
Java?
2.  Will the documented objects and methods in the tkobjc library still
be supported in the Java implementation?
