raster and aspect ratio

To all,

I am having a problem with displaying objects on ZoomRaster. I need to know 
if there is a way to find out what color is currently being displayed at 
some (x,y) value. IE is there something like "drawPointX: Y: Color:" only 
backward, returning the colormap value at some point x and y.
