A note of warning to anyone else that likes to use "Boids" in
presentations on complex systems and their model etcs.: The Swarm
version of Boids that Eric Werk posted last year seems to have a major
memory leak.
I often run it with 10 boids for a 30 seconds or so during a
presentation, no problem. Yesterday I ran it with 50 boids and it ate up
my RAM (120 mbytes) in maybe 1 minute. (Interesting, the boids' behavior
is completely different with 50 of them.)
So be careful if you're trying this in front of people.
