Did you consult GNU? Did you consider of using GSoC to improving Savannah?

GNU is very loosely coupled. I figured if nobody was maintaining it,
then I would. I know Python and Django, and I can mentor a Python
project. I don't like Savannah, I use Savannah daily, and I want
something better.

Ideas are great, but code is better, and I don't see any code, nor
even a webpage about it. And I like Python and Django.
