Hi Ibraheem,

Linux is not a GNU project, though most desktop platforms based on the
Linux kernel rely on GNU's operating system components very heavily. The
various packaging formats, also, are in general not related to GNU,
either; for these reasons, I don't believe that the GNU Project would be
an appropriate mentoring organization to consider such a proposal.
