Hi Andreas,

this is removed a long time ago. It's connected with the feature to put 
configuration data into avr elf image.

Of course, UART is possible to simulate, but not in this way. The UART 
peripheral is available, but it send the data just to the port pin, a a 
real device would do. There is a serial adapter in TCL module. (see ui part)
