Follow-up Comment #7, sr #106612 (project administration): The reason to prefer more recent bzr is more for performance than feature reasons. As for the hook (trigger): I may have pointed you to the wrong thing, sorry. Let me ask around for the Right Way to do server-side commit emails. The goal here is to have an email go out to emacs-commits@ / emacs-diffs@ when a change lands in a branch that everyone cares about -- e.g., trunk.
