This is truly fantastic.
It is also a nice way for other hackers who wish to volunteer in
savannah to do some critical work without needing access to the
servers.
Here's a small contribution:
First,
checks for the mercurial/hg part.
Second,
A attempt (mostly work-in-progress) to implement
the fake 'ssh' we talked about, which will use pre-known host keys.
