Just for completeness: That was the "svcpack.log" file (AFAIR).

I must admit that I'm not a Windows expert. Isn't the Windows Installer
Engine supposed to be part of the W2K base install? Or is this always
a separate product/install with W2K?
The last time I tried to install W2K + "Install Engine" + SP4 in qemu-cvs
I ended with a windows 2000 system that had problems displaying the list
of the currently installed software in the "Software" control applet.
My guess is that there is some issue with W2K / qemu and a corrupted
"installed software" database, which might be the reason "msiexec.exe"
isn't found in the first place when trying to install W2K SP4.
