The new APT lines don't have the tilde character:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnu-psychosynth-team/ppa/ubuntu lucid main 
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnu-psychosynth-team/ppa/ubuntu lucid
main

Anyway, instead of modifying sources.list, you can just execute:
$> sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnu-psychosynth-team/ppa

And that should directly add the new PPA.
