John is one of the main PSPP developers.  I think everyone associated with PSPP wishes PSPP was feature complete, but the fact is that there are a lot of missing features. 

The developers list is pspp-dev and you can join it the same way that you joined pspp-users.

The best solution would be for you to add the feature and send a patch to the developer's list. This isn't unique to PSPP, most features are added to open source projects by people want the feature. If you're going to do this, I would send a note first to the developer's list because the patch has to be written in a way that the copyright can be transferred to the GNU foundation... there are some hoops to be jumped through.

You could also go to the PSPP GNU home page and follow the instructions there to file a report in the bug tracker for this feature.  But that just makes your request "official"; it probably won't make it happen any sooner.

    I'm not an expert on linear regression, but I think you are looking for the /NOORIGIN
    subcommand which unfortunately at the moment PSPP doesn't have.
   
    If this is important to you, file a "wishlist" bug and we'll ses what we can do.
   
    In the mean time, you can "fake it" by adding a dummy variable with all cases set
    to zero.
