RE: [Phpgroupware-developers] proposal-branch; porting

Example 1: I use links from inside a form to look up vendors (new window) from 
the addressbook into workorders. 
Example 2 : I use links to connect to external Geographical Information System 
from a property-list.

How can I accomplish this not using $GLOBALS['phpgw']->link()?
