I don't think you're being kicked out at all.  I think even without "veto 
power" if
you stepped up and said "hey this is a bad idea and here's why..." you'd be 
taken
very seriously, and so long as your points are sound (as they usualy are) the 
"veto"
would happen.

Yes, I am aware of this as well.
I also know that if the others all decided to do something really stupid, I could force the fork at that point. The veto thing is largly symbolic, and hopefully it can help the f word from having to be used after this gets worked out.
