Thanks a lot for answers - I'll go with ADXRS610 then.
For the future - which not-so-expensive IMU/AHRS would be most compactible with PPZ? I'm not that much of a coder, so I'm looking for a plug'n'fly sollution :)
Razor IMU (http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9623) seems to be something, that would work?

This IMU cost about 67 Euro in Europe. If you want the software to
test it have a look to the HB-Autopilot software.
I was relay surprised that we take a test successfully wiht the low
cost IMU. The old sensors from ST lSY300 failed.

You can also low cost sensors IDG500 and IDZ500. The ETH fly wiht them.
A low cost hardware is the spakrfun imu and the twog.
By the way the adxrs610 sensor on the booz and hb-autopilot pcbs is

This is also the reason that the wires are not very securely fastened.
There is no way to do it without removing that male adapter. So that
just leaves attaching to small resistors and capacitors. When I return
