Hey Guys,
everything works now fine :)
I looked because of the hint of Adrian Lauf in the
flightplan file and there had been the kill_throttle in the Takeoff and Hoding
Point blocks as a "1", donĀ“t know why (used the file of a friend).
Now i set the values to zero and it
works.
Now i will do the tuning of the airframe
file.
Thank you so much,
Joseph

flies an eight-figure in AUTO2
Glad to hear that the course is working! There are several
reasons why the motor won't start. For me, it was because I hadn't issued the
"launch" command. I was working without the MaxStream modems, so without the
launch command, it never started. I had to override this in my flight plan by
manually disabling throttle kill with this line:
<set
value="0" var="kill_throttle"/>
Probably not the safest thing to do, but if you're careful, it works
great. I have a "wait for GPS loop prior to that, which prevents motor start
prior to a GPS fix. Lastly, others have reported that issues with modems,
particularly in their serial configuration, have led to no throttle input. Be
sure to search the archives, if disabling kill_throttle doesn't solve it, you
will find the answer there. Best of luck!

Hey
Guys,
thanks for your answers. Did some more test flights today and
set up the airframe like here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12784328&postcount=1839
Result:
Auto2 works relatively fine and after some changing the of Course_pgain
the plane flew circles around the Home position (first test). But the
engine never runs in Auto2. Why did the engine not start in Auto2 flight
when the navigation routines works fine? I also think that there could
be also a tuning problem with the IR sensors, i had to change the
LATERAL, LONGITUDAL and VERTICAL_Correction values after calibration till
the plane flies well in AUTO1. Here are all needed files: http://www.innovativesights.com/luftbildtransfer/paparazzi_troubleshooting_engine_off_in_auto2.zip
Thank
you so far, Joseph

Joseph,
If
you don't solve your problem, you can send me a log file. Maybe I could
help

Hello,
after
buying an TwinstarII with TWOG and setting up the GCS (thanks to the
guys at the Akaflieg Bremen) i read the manual and website several
times carefully and did many testflights today. The plane flies now
perfect in AUTO1 mode but when i switch to AUTO2 it always flies
eight-figures (Throttle off, elevator upwards with the value of
PITCH_MAX_SETPOINT). I changed many variables and diferent
flightplans but nothing happened. Here is a short movie of the
failure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5pR_zqFJvc (switched
on AUTO2 after 5 seconds).
I will do some more test flights and
hope that someone can give me a hint which variable i have to change
in the
airframe-file.
