we usually get the LPC2148 at digikey.com or spoerle.com. The LPC2146
was never tried. The RAM size is also 32kB as the 2148 and a typical
autopilot ROM binary is around 100kB and will fit. So it should work
Maybe you can adjust the linker file LPC2148-ROM-bl.ld for the LPC2146
to make sure you do never try to flash more than 256kB.
