Hi Matthew,
I have always use the 3v3 from conn serial1 to supply our Xbee and aerocomm
20mW modems. I agree this is probably not the best things to do, but never had
problems.
You can find breakout board for the Xbee at sparkfun but there is no 3v3 Reg on
it. I am in the process of building one with supply and molex conn. I don't
know when it will be finish, I am in mid term exams right now, but I will let
you know.
