Anyone have any suggestions as to how to correct these compile issues? Should this have gone to pan-devel instead?

Thanks,

2.2 LIBXML2
===========
* Sanity check: "$ pkg-config --cflags libxml-2.0" should give meaningful output now. * Sanity check: "$ pkg-config --libs libxml-2.0" should also work, and include -lws2_32

*These don't work because pkg-config is not installed anywhere I can find*

pkg-config was installed as part of the gtk development enviroment on my system. I got gtk from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtk-win/ . Since I used the default install path it wa located in c:/dev-c++/bin

2.5 GNET

*The configure fails with "configure: error: No GLib 1.2 on this system"...

The GLib 1.2 reference is because configure could not find GLib 2.0 or later. This most likely occured because it could not find pkg-config. Gnet-2.0.5 will almost compile OOB. Here is how I compiled gnet:

remove echoclient-unix and echoserver-unix from examples/Makefile.am
rm ltmain.sh ltconfig
libtoolize
autoreconf
configure --disable-pthreads
make

if src/.libs/gnet-2.0-0.dll doesn't exist then libtool didn't work. You might need to get the one posted on the mingw-users list on 4/23/2004 by earnie boyd.
