Follow-up Comment #7, patch #10170 (project octave):

First of all, thanks for the patch.

@Philip: In general, I would prefer an action behaving in the same way,
whether activated by shortcut or by the menu entry. Otherwise this might be
confusing, especially as the shortcut F2 is shown in the "Rename ..." menu,
which suggests that both ways are equivalent.

But I see your point, Philip. Would it be a solution for you to get used to
the sequence F2 - Ctrl-A - Ctrl-C in order to copy the full filename? That's
what I am using when copying a full filename in the Gnome file epxlorer.

However, on my system, the menu entry does not trigger the action.
