Follow-up Comment #9, patch #8656 (project octave):

("our new patch" -> "your new patch" - my wireless keyboard needs new
batteries :-( )

A quick check shows that the Copy / Ctrl-C crash issue has disappeared. Nice!

openvar("varname{2,2}") works fine AFAICS.

When entering text strings in a cell array, ' (single quotes, sq-strings)
aren't accepted, only double quotes (dq-strings) work.

Inf and NaN are shown correctly now. I do not know that much about Octave
internals nor C++ so I can't give any advice.

There's "variable editor" title on the docked pane -> fixed.

Typing "text" (w/o quotes) in a cell from e.g. tmp = ones(3) gives a graphics
window pop-up and in the cell I get a number like -6.00174.
