Documentation not building any more? |

I just did 'make maintainer-clean' in preparation to try and build the
stable branch and after autogen, configure, and make I find that the
documentation is not building.
I get
/tmp/ZpAS6rJ58D:49925: unknown command `seealso'
/tmp/ZpAS6rJ58D:49925: misplaced {
/tmp/ZpAS6rJ58D:49925: misplaced }
and this is repeated many, many times.
Finally, there is
makeinfo produced no output! at ./doc/interpreter/mk-doc-cache.pl line 99.
Is anyone else seeing this?
