Follow-up Comment #19, bug #59850 (project octave):
Fixed x = 1:.045:3 issue. Nan and inf becoming more annoying to handle. Loop
is only called for examples where the values are creeping past the tolerance
so it should still be fast for removing numerical error. Timings for the
hundred thousand random points are still around .02 seconds. Patch attached.
