Follow-up Comment #2, bug #48474 (project octave): You are right: This regression is due to the version update of Gnuplot in the Windows Octave release. When I do this on my Win7 machine: * Install Gnuplot 4.6.7, win32 version, from gnuplot.info * start Octave 4.0.3 Windows release * type gnuplot_binary('C:\Program Files (x86)\gnuplot\gnuplot.exe') * then run the Octave script from my original bug report -> Both text lines are properly colored in red!
