Follow-up Comment #11, bug #46852 (project octave):
That is a good point, Carnë.
One workaround would be to use a callback. Libinterp could initialise the
callback to null (which wouldn't be called), and liboctave could set it to
Dan's code. Would that be OK? If so, I'm happy to code it.
I do something similar in patch #9024, so if you have a better solution, I'll
update that patch too.
