This problem stays , also with upgraded autoconf (2.69) automake
(1.11.3) and m4 (1.4.16)
Be it apparently with a slightly different error message and location.
Any clues as how to attack this ?

Thanks.
Yes I did check and fullfill the requirements.
(if I'm not mistaken , there's checked upon anyway)
But I have some vague idea that the requirements should be
"upgraded" ... I'm rebuilding now with the latest autoconf (and
automake and m4).
Let you know.

Hello,
I am not big expert, but I can try to answer first, waiting for
better answers.
by reading the end of your log, it shows that it failed because of
"autoreconf".
It is likely that "glib" is the firt package from the list that
needed autoreconf, which would mean that autoreconf does not work
for you.
Have you checked "http://mxe.cc/#requirements", and installed all
specified tools (in particular autoconf) ?
Please take time to double check "http://mxe.cc/#tutorial". In step
one, you can download the developement branch instead of the stable
branch.

William
