What does this have to do with lynx?

I believe the OP is using a text only, non-web aware, email client, with Lynx used to handle HTML messages, and thinks that this is HTML, and is wondering why Lynx is ignoring all the links.

His last message is forwarding an example of email for which this setup is failing.

The problem is that the message isn't HTML. It's a plain text fallback, intended for web aware email clients where the user doesn't want to receive HTML email. (Moreover, the links are, correctly, placed in angle brackets, which, if forced to treat it as HTML, Lynx will ignore, as they contain unknown tags.
