I have these 2 lines in /etc/lynx.cfg

XLOADIMAGE_COMMAND:xv %s
VIEWER:video/mpeg:mplayer %s &:XWINDOWS

I run lynx -image_links file.html and image viewing works, except that, as long as xv is open, lynx is no longer visible, presumably in bg.  I would prefer being able to view the page text at the same time as the image.  Can that be done?
