gnu-prog is the mailing list to 'owners' of GNU distributed programs.

Since we have no single 'author' the lynx-dev mailing list becomes the
'owner' to whom the msgs need to be distributed.

Since the msgs this time concern the official GNU distribution point,
where many people will be getting lynx, it is something that _someone_
on the mailing list should note.

Whoever uploaded lynx to gnu.org should be keeping it up to date. Otherwise,
the tar should be removed from that site and a file pointing to where we
want them to get the code substituted.

Speaking of which, is it time to replace the edu site with some other site
more likely to be kept going? I suspect the problem is that the machine
went down during break and no one was around to fix it. Anyone willing
to host the ftp traffic for lynx downloads?
