hooks are IN the Lynx source somewhere, but Jacob's bright idea is
that an external program doesn't need anything specific in Lynx source
& so wouldn't set US law-enforcement alarms off: he wouldn't have hooks.
this looks to me an idea well worth following up,
but i don't know enough about the source (yet, grin) to comment properly.
what do the experts think?
