The link is a gif with ALT="".  If you want, fiddling with
some of the lynx.cfg settings should get you some text to go
with the link number.  Look at "MAKE_PSEUDO_ALTS_..." and
"MAKE_LINKS_...".  (I think those were both in 2.7, but I
couldn't swear to it)
