One thing that is useful in cases where folk find URLs where lynx's behavior
is 'wrong' from your perspective is to send along the specific URL you
were on, as well as the path you used to get there. Another thing that
would be useful would be to
feed the URL on to one of the HTML validators - that way, you can say
"when the follow bad HTML feature is encountered, lynx does this bad thing".
A third thing that could be done is to look thru the code to see if you
can figure where the problem might be. Of course, yet another thing
that could be done would be to send along a proposed piece of fixed code.
Each of these steps saves someone else from doing the step. Why is this
useful? Because there are enough reports submitted each month that
one might fall thru the cracks and not get fixed . The more info provided,
the more likely someone will take it the rest of the way.
