you can compile it in your own directories quite easily.

Lynx is very straight-laced & conservative in sticking to official HTML.
there's at least an implicit list of tags at l.b.o or under on-line help.
future plans depend on which user volunteers to do what programming:
emphasis tends to be on platforms & charsets, rather than tags.
