I asked about this a few months ago, and got the following tip for my
.mailcap:

audio/x-pn-realaudio; raplayer %s & sleep 5

This lets the player connect to the server and get settled in before
you go back to Lynx.  (Since I upgraded to bash 2.0, RealAudio gives
me errors when I try to get at an RA file through Netscape, but that's a
shell thing I haven't bothered to look into yet.)
