Yes. As distributed Lynx should build and run with any version
of VMS, using VAXC, DECC, or Pat Rankin's VMS port of GNUC, and any of
the freeware or commercial TCPIP packages.
What you did for the CDROM image is fine, since it presumeably
will be used with a current version of VMS. If the site does have
UCX, it will work fully, otherwise only with file://localhost and Lynx
internal URLs, but with error messages rather than crashing for the
other types of URLs.
