Again? Okay, since, especially for people like me who are having a hard
time getting the hang of Unix, DIRED is convenient, maybe even `neat'.
1) don't have to spawn a shell to do any number of filer-like commands.
in other words, can erase, move, create and then edit a _new_ file,
unzip a file, view a file before executing an action on it, and do
many more things without having to leave lynx.
2) can see everything in color if you have that feature in lynx.
3) can tag files, which means can do actions on multiple files.
4) can navigate up and down files just like links in an html document,
so don't have to type in the name of a file, just hit the desired
command key when the file is highlighted or tagged.
5) although it's NOT the same thing, sometimes it's easier to type
`.' than `file://localhost/~/'.
I'm sure I left out some. __Henry
