There is no obligation of any sort that IF host www.xxx.yyy.zz accepts
HTTP connections on port 80 (or some other), THEN address@hidden
must be a valid, deliverable e-mail address. It just is true in may
cases, (Strictly speaking, not even address@hidden would be
required; it's only required if that host deals with mail at all.)
However, a registered contact has to exist, somewhere. But asking
Lynx to figure it all out, and correctly in all cases, is asking a bit
too much, IMHO...
BTW for URLs of the form http://www.xxx.yyy.zz/~user/something/more or
http://www.xxx.yyy.zz/%7Euser/something/more the address
address@hidden might be a more appropriate guess than address@hidden
