Follow-up Comment #19, bug #20506 (project lwip):

Remember the httpd we're talking about uses the RAW API under lwIP 1.2.0.
There is no nagle algorithm there for that version.
Maybe tcp_output is not called often enough...
As I said, I'll try and report what I find.
