I'm trying to figure out how to build a uImage that contains the initramfs file
system.
As I understand it, you need to enable General Setup > Initial RAM filesystem
and RAM disk (initramfs/initrd) support, then specify the Initramfs source file.
The problem is one of the chicken and the egg.
LTIB builds the kernel first, then the file system. So while LTIB can produce
the file you need to specify as the Initramfs source file, you can't specify it
because the kernel will be built before it exists.
How do you solve this with LTIB?
