Hello.
You are currently describing a behaviour which could happen for a
tremendous number of reasons.
Please check the linphone logs if you can see hints for your
investigation. The issue could be unrelated to the upgrade.
If you can't :
Please provide logs of the 2 apps.
Please specify the Linphone-SDK version from you updated to the targeted version.
Please describe the type of network used for each phone.
Please provide some context about your use of Linphone.
We (users and developers using linphone on this list) can't help you if you don't provide more information.
As you are searching for help, it's you responsibility to add in
the first request all the information that could be useful.
As stated by the mailing
list information page, "The mailing lists must be seen as a
place for collaboration. Issues submitted and postings should be
of general interest, in the goal of improving the software.
Consider that a well documented issue (with precise reproduction
procedure, logs, stacktrace if relevant, possibly corrective patch
supplied) has a higher chance to receive interest and feedback
from community members.
Postings and issues poorly documented, with no facts, or asking
for debugging assistance for a custom app using Linphone's
libraries, or for a modified version of Linphone are unlikely to
receive any kind of response.
People using Linphone or its related projects within the scope of
their company job are invited to contact Belledonne Communications
[https://linphone.org/contact] in order to obtain commercial
support."
I can take the time to write this response because my current workload allows me to, but please understand that such poorly documented request is usually just ignored, as we don't even have the time to answer to each request.
