A pipe symbol in a po file provides context for translators, see
https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/Contexts.html

I'm not sure this is the case, but if it is, those po files are
standard and it is a problem in out [GUB] side.

#~ lines are old obsolete messages anyway.
