You know... there's sendmail, postfix, ..... that provide a mail
"cloud" - and they've been around a long time.
On the social networking side, one might ask what's happened to USENET
and NNTP.
For cloud services: OpenStacks, OpenNebula, quite a few others.
Just because you're not looking, doesn't mean it isn't there - much
less that FSF should do everything in the world.
